AIRFARE AND CAR RENTAL

Airfare:

We work with wholesalers to offer the best fares possible from the mainland (USA) to Hawaii and for flights between the islands (inter-island).

Car Rentals

Base your choice of vehicle on the number of people in your party, amount of luggage, or preference in vehicle.

Compact, midsize, full size, luxury, sports utility vehicle 5 seats Jeep with convertible top, or convertible 4 seats Minivan 7 seats

All car companies charge a $3.00/day road tax, concession fees (7.5% - 10% varies per island), vehicle registration fee and sales tax. Some
wholesalers include these fees in the price, but many do not.

A fee will be charged for drivers under 25 years and sometimes for
additional drivers. These charges you pay directly to the car rental
company.

Check with your personal vehicle insurance policy or your credit card to see
if it¹s necessary for you to purchase the additional liability insurance that the car companies offer.

Many people question whether to rent a car on Oahu. This island offers good
public transit but if you want to set your own schedule, rent a car.

Parking is at a premium in Waikiki. All hotels charge for parking, at around $10/day. You may find some free street parking, but check the signs to ensure times and tow zones. Tickets aren't cheap. Don¹t assume that since you¹re from out-of-town and in a rental you¹ll get away with it. They'll find you.

On the neighbor islands, a car will make your vacation more enjoyable as
there is very little public transit or shuttle services.

Think about the holiday that you want. Shuttles offer you the convenience of
door to door service, but limit your mobility. If you want to relax at your
resort and not venture far, the shuttle may be right for you. However, if
you want to experience all that your island has to offer, a rental car
offers the most flexibility. Sometimes the cost of shuttles and taxis
combined is more than the cost of a car rental.

Be sure to ask us for the service that sounds right for you.
